800 Military Officers set to Graduate
Graduation for the U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Intermediate Level Education Course that started in August 2007 at Fort Leavenworth is set for June 13 at 9 a.m. on Main Parade, or the Lewis and Clark Center in case of inclement weather. The guest speaker is U.S. Representative Steve Israel from New York.
The 10-month Intermediate Level Education course is designed to develop war fighting and leadership skills necessary for military officers to be proficient in full spectrum operations. There are about 750 U.S. and 50 international officers who will graduate during the ceremony.
The event is not open to the public, but news media representatives are invited. If interested in covering the ceremony, contact Jeff Crawley at (913) 684-1718; jeff.crawley@us.army.mil.
